One of the most photographed monuments in Laurel Hill Cemetery, the majestic Patterson lion is ready for spring with this new depiction by artist Joanne Dhody! Blank inside for your own message.
This monument marks the final resting place of Major General Robert Patterson. The lion is surrounded by symbols of war--its paw rests on the barrel of a cannon. Sculptor John Lacmer chose a lion for the animal's association with strength and courage. You can see the monument in person in Section K, near Millionaire's Row and overlooking the Schuykill River.
